This Privacy Policy explains how Rufpage ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Rufpage browser extension and related services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and keeping your data safe.
Rufpage stores the notes, checklists, code snippets, and other content you create. By default, this content is stored locally on your device using your browser's local storage. We do not have access to this locally stored content.
Rufpage uses Chrome’s built-in storage synchronization to automatically sync your notes and basic preferences across all devices where you are signed into Chrome. This data is tied to your Chrome profile and is not accessible to us. The data synced via Chrome is subject to Google's privacy practices as well.
We do not use analytics or tracking cookies. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information or the content of your notes.
chrome.storage.sync. This data is stored by Chrome and is not accessible to us.We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Chrome's built-in sync is encrypted by Google.
Your locally stored content remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the extension. Cloud‑synced data remains in your Chrome profile storage. You may clear your notes, sign out of Chrome, or uninstall the extension at any time. If you delete your data, we do not retain copies.
The automatic sync relies on Chrome's built-in sync service, which is governed by Google's own privacy policy. We do not have control over and are not responsible for third-party practices.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Since we do not process that we collect minimal personal data, exercising these rights primarily involves managing your own content and Google AppData Folder.
Rufpage is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
